Clay Painting

Hi !!!!!!!

Its been few days since I have returned from Hyderabad and I tell you the summer heat was too much to handle. Still we managed to explore the city and had a wonderful break. I also managed to finish Rabindranath Tagore's "Chokher Bali" (translated in English) which I bought from the book fair last year. Its been lying in my book shelf toooooooo long and I had to finish it. The book was amazing, if only I could read  Bangla I would have read the original piece.I hope someday I am able to read and write Bangla language.

After coming back, the days have flown by and I have not been able to finish my new project.  This is again a clay painting. This time I have tried it on glass and I really hope it comes out well.

This is the picture of Bal Gopal. The clay needs to dry out completely, coz only after that I can paint it. Apart from that few touch ups are left which needs to be taken care of. And once  it has colors on it my Kanha would be more visible and beautiful. Fingers crossed.

Will keep you posted on the same.

Bye for now !!!

Lamasa Work

Hi!!!!!

I had got this stand of plywood with a decorative diya attached to it, as a Diwali gift. I had used the diya , but this stand has been lying around since then. I have recycled the same and decorated it with lamasa clay. This is how it looks.

I can use it as a candle stand for gel candles. Wax candle will not work as melted wax will destroy the look.

This is how it will look. One can use it for any other purpose. Depends entirely on your choice. I am happy with end result, and hope you will like it too.

Thanks for visiting and viewing my creations.

Bye !!!!

Clay Painting

Hi !!!

I am doing this blog post after quite a long gap. Today I am going to share with you a clay painting which I have done using cold porcelain clay.Previously I have done few short projects with m-seal, but doing a clay painting has been challenging for me. I have seen few of my fellow peers doing paper mache painting, but personally i haven't tried it as yet.

Recently, I learned to make cold porcelain dough from youtube and decided to try out this painting.

This is a picture of a village girl which is very common and can be found in any sketch book.

I have used acrylic colors for this painting and have decorated it with colored stones and mirrors.

I have been working on this painting for about 10-12 days now, and I am quite satisfied with the end result. I hope you will also like it, I read somewhere that one should not be scared of exploring new avenues, and that if you believe in yourself and god you would be able to overcome your fear for the unknown.

On this note, I would like to say bye and take care.

Hope to meet you with something interesting in my next blog post.

Thanks for visiting !!!!

Decorative Pot

Hi !!!

I had this earthen pot at home, which I have recycled.

I have used black color as the base, on which I did a free hand sketch with white metallic glass liner. Before starting I didn't know what kind of design I wanted on the pot. So I roughly started with the usual flower, leaves thing and gradually I was able to fill the empty spaces of my imagination. As you go thru the above pics you will see that there is actually no symmetry in the entire design. There are flowers, there are leaves, then I have also added peacock, fish and so on.

Fevicryl acrylic colors have been used for the coloring portion. To add more glamour I have dashed it with golden color and have  also added colored stones and beads.

Hope the pictures are okay and you are able to get the view of pot from all sides.

Till  then take care and thanks once again for visiting !!!!!!

Crochet Lace / Edging

Hi !!!!

After much deliberations I was able to finish off this wide lace in filet crochet.

In my last to last  blog post,I had shared  a crochet lace with you guys which I had made for the neckline of my kurta. In continuation to that, I have made a wide filet crochet lace for the arms of my kurta.

I picked up this lovely lacy design from Dover Needlework Series.I used 1mm crochet hook to make this design. You can follow this graph to make this design and can attach it to your linens, table cloths etc.

Hope you guys are having a lovely Sunday with your family.

Bye & Happy Crocheting !!!!!
