Crochet Doily

Hi !!!

Sharing with you this pink coloured doily which I made using steel hook size no. 7 and thread size no. 10.

Approx. size is 14" in dia. & you can find the pattern HERE.  Even though the pattern has few more lines to go but I had to stop here because I ran out of thread and couldn't find anything in matching shades to go with it......

Thanks for dropping by :)

Till next time take care and have a nice day :)

Bottle Art

Hi !!!

Hope all of you had a colourful holi and are now enjoying the long weekend:)

I am back with another bottle makeover. I think I am gradually getting addicted to this art. Transforming old, used bottles  gives me acute satisfaction.

This time I have experimented with lippan work (traditional work of Gujarat). Also known as Mud Mirror Art, it is the traditional mural art of kutch. Villagers living in this area decorate the walls of their mud houses through this art work. This traditional wall art has now become the part of modern home decor.

Here I have used shilpkar for the pattern and mirrors of different shapes and sizes for decoration. Since the traditional lippan kaam is white in colour so I have also kept it white.

Do drop in with your comments on the above....

Till next time take care and have a creative week :)

Crochet Square Doily

Hi !!!

Hope all of you are doing good and busy shaping your creativity:)

Its always hectic during this time of the year due to exams...... and honestly, I haven't been able to do much on the creative front.

My shawl has not progressed at all :(  And I have this bad habit of hopping from one project to another. So I started working on this square doily which I found on Pinterest. The pattern is quite simple and easy to make.

Have used 7 no crochet hook size and it measures 14" x 14". You can find the pattern HERE. The multicoloured border is not part of the pattern. Its my own variation.

In my sketchbook I sketched rapunzal . I enjoyed it very much. Have used water coloured pencils for this.

There is another thing I would like to share with you... this birthday card . My  younger son Shlok made this for our neighbour's son. I hope he does this more often rather than playing computer games...:)

Well  that's all I have to share for today. Thanks for dropping by and leaving your lovely comments on my post:)

Take care and have a creative week ahead :)
