M-seal pen stand

This is a pen stand which has been made of M-seal ( white). You can find it in any hardware shop or any craft store. One can also opt for Shilpkar from fevicryl. Its very easy to use. You just have to mix the white and the green portion and can mold it accordingly. You should use little bit of talcum powder to make it less sticky on hands. I personally find m-seal very convenient to use as one can do the molding and sticking simultaneously.

METHOD

1. To make this i have used an empty container as a base and covered it tightly with a polythene. This way m-seal doesn't stick to ur bottle  and u can take it out easily.
2 After that take small portion of m-seal and mix the white & green part completely.
3. Make long snakes and cover the container with it. Start from the center bottom of the container.
4. Once it dries off, your stand is ready. Take it out from the container.
5. Now paint it with acrylic colors of ur choice. You can also add cartoons/flowers etc to give it more volume.
Note : Always take out required amount of m-seal before u start working on it because m-seal dries off really fast. So u will end up wasting more rather than molding.

Hope you like this tutorial.

CANDLES

Candle making is a very ancient form of art.Till date, it has come a long way.Now a days candles have become a very integral part of home decor. Candles have acquired their place in dinning tables, show cases,  mantel piece and what not. Now a days there are numerous varieties of wax that are available in the market to cater to customers requirement. These are also called "CANDLE WAX" and  comes in granules and slab form.

Paraffin wax : This is the most common form of wax used in making pillar candles and floater candles.

Hurricane wax : I personally like this wax very much as it is very transparent kind of wax and is perfect for not only making hurricane lanterns, but also pillar candles with embedements.

Marble Wax : As the name suggests this wax hard and is used to give marble effect to the candles.

Beeswax : Beeswax is one of the most eco-freindly wax. It is usually available in the form of sheets which can be used for candle decoration purposes. Also it can be used for creating hand molded candles. Creative possibilities are endless in case of this wax.

Dip"n"Carve wax : True to its name this wax is much more malleable than other ordinary candle wax. This is used primarily in carving candles. This wax is also apt for creating wax  flowers, roses etc.

Gel wax : This wax comes in gelly form and is usually set in glasses/glass bowls. Gel colours are available in the market which you can mix and make coloured gel candles.

Few books that you can refer to are "The big book of Candles" by Sue Heaser. It comprises of 40 variations in candle making which are very simple. This is also my personal favourite There is another "Beeswax crafts" Search Press Publications , which gives u an idea as to how u can use beeswax creatively.
