Madhubani paintings

Hi !!!

Today I am sharing few madhubani paintings which my students did during this summer vacations. First one is a fish motif made using water colour pencils.

This is a peacock with poster colours.

This one is  Lord Ganesha's painting which I did using charcoal pencil and dry pastels.

Another bottle makeover ........

Hi !!!!

I am back with another bottle makeover. This time I have tried to recycle coffee bottle.  Initially, when I started this project I had something else in mind, but by the time I was thru I ended up with a different look..... and this is what I made :)

Also called matryoshka doll,  refers to a set of wooden dolls in decreasing size placed one inside another. These dolls were first carved by Vasily Zvyozdochkin in 1890 and was designed by Sergey Malyutin.

Crochet Doily

Hi friends !!!!

Finished off another thread doily. Size is approx. around  20" . I have used 2.1mm size steel hook for this. You can find the pattern HERE.

Bottle Recycle

Hi !!!

Recycling bottles has become one of favourite craft these days. After trying to do the makeover with clay / mseal ....... this time I have used silver coloured 3D outliner to decorate the same.

My sketch book - Madhubani Painting

Hi !!!!

After a long long time I painted most commonly used motif in madhubani - peacock.... the most graceful and beautiful bird.. This time I have tried fusion of two art forms  ie, madhubani with warli art. Even though I am not an expert in warli art but still I have used few simple borders/designs and incorporated them in the painting. Since these are all traditional art forms I hope that I haven't disrespected either of the art forms and have managed to place them aptly thus, complimenting each other.  This time in addition to acrylic colours I have also tried using water colour pencils as I feel it has more shades to offer. have used acrylic colours & water colour pencils. 

This is the final result ........... How does it look ????????

I also sketched this landscape in watercolours using line & wash technique.
