Getting back to blogging......

Hi friends !!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Diwali...  & are still enjoying it :)  Today when I am writing my blog, I am having mixed emotions. Coming back to blogging, festive fervour makes me feel happy, But on the other hand I am feeling anguished because todays my brother's birthday, and he is no longer there to celebrate it. Its been a year since he has gone, but the pain is still there......... same as ever :(.  I just hope & pray that wherever he is, he is at peace.

This diwali we did lots of diya painting......:)

tried rangoli for the first time (not so good I must say:( )

and my kids made chocolate pudding from youtube :)

I also made few Madhubani paintings. Simple mythological designs, motifs and bright colours has made this traditional art form of Bihar very popular among the art lovers,  not only in India but also abroad.

The first one is of a girl plucking flowers

This one is of Radha - Krishna

Last one is of sun

Now I feel I  need to shift from painting to some other craft activity. That is why to break the monotony, I have started working on this triangular crochet shawl.

This is again net inspired and hopefully I would be able to finish it off soon.

Do drop in with your comments on the above & till next time have a creative week:)

I can understand how on festivals we miss loved ones but that is what life is about. We need to think about the people living with us and smile for them.
