The pattern is from Pinterest with few added variations

The size is 10.5" across without blocking.

Madhubani hand painted coasters / warli painting

 

Hi there !!

I have done it again :)) 

No posts for a month .. Well this time I am not going to give any excuse :))) 

These insta handles, fb are so addictive that Once you post your work you get hooked to your phone to see how many likes, comments you have received & you end up wasting days/ week. I don't know about you but with regard to my case its true. The desire to win more and more likes /followers I sometimes feel that I have become a slave to this litle handsets. :)) And the feeling I assure you is not so good ((:

Well enough of my mindless chatter. I have done few projects in the past few weeks  which I would like to share with you

These are madhubani coasters size 4"in dia " handpainted & varnished 

I have also done a warli painting potraying Gautam Buddha

This is on A3 size black sheet using white acrylic colours. This painting is inspired from pinterest and I have interpreted it in my own style.

Madhubani Paintings (A5) size

Hi  !!

Hope you all are doing good  :)  

Its been quite a while since I have posted in this space. Although my creative journey is on & I am posting in my insta handle and facebook but somehow blogging has gone out of my system. Maybe because posting on insta/fb seems much easier and it does gets you prompt response. :))

But I seriously want to get back to regular blogging and for this I think I need to condition myself for this.Lets hope I am able to stick to my words

Anyways these past few weeks I have been busy making these small madhubani paintings on A5 size Brustro water colour paper

It took me a lot of time to paint these designs on such a small size of paper. Have to re-do a lot which was actually very irritating sometimes. :) But I guess that any kind of art form demands patience and perseverance. And I feel that the end result seems quite good

Crochet sling bag

Hope you are all doing good !!!

Today I am sharing my latest crochet project 

This crochet cross bag is inspired from a youtube video

Width - 34 cm

Height - 13 cm

I have used purse thread and 3mm crochet hook size for making this bag.

Day after tomorrow its Holi  (festival of colours) so my best wishes for the same

Sketching Practice

Have been doing some free hand portrait practice this week with the help of few youtube videos... :)

I am not an expert in figure drawing so when I am bored with my regular folkart drawing I try to go out of my comfort zone :)

Back to blogging !!

Hi !!

Its been two years since I did my last blogspot...

Life had taken an unexpected turn In 2020. From Corona looming over  to my husband suffering heart attack,  these past two years has been quite rough. I was drained both emotionally & physically.. 

I think my drawings and my art work kept me sane during this difficult phase of life... 

But things are getting better now .. and I feel I am in the right state of mind to restart my blog...:))

Today I would like to share my madhubani painting of Maa Sharada Also known as Maa Saraswati , she represents knowledge , music & art.

Since this is a traditional art form I prefer  doing it freehand..So I haven't used any kind of scale or marker to draw the lines This is on A3 size Brustro Water colour paper and I have used acrylic colours to colour it.
